ApplyTailored ("we," "us") helps you turn your career history into tailored resumes and cover letters. This page describes what information we collect, why, and how it's handled.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name and email address.
• Career data: the resume file you upload, the text extracted from it, and the structured career profile built from it, including work history, education, and skills.
• Job postings you paste or link to for tailoring.
• Generated documents: tailored resumes and cover letters, and the record of what changed and why.
• Payment information, handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Basic usage data: which features you use and, if you visit without an account, an anonymous session identifier.

How we use it

• To provide the service: extracting, storing, and tailoring your career profile.
• To process payment for paid plans.
• To improve the product: we look at aggregate usage patterns, not the content of individual resumes, unless you contact us for support.

Career data and job postings you submit are sent to Anthropic (the maker of the Claude models we use) to perform extraction and tailoring. Anthropic's API does not use this data to train their models.

Who we share it with

The services that process your data on our behalf:

• Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage.
• Anthropic: AI processing of resumes and job postings.
• Stripe: payment processing, for paid plans.
• Google: sign-in (if you use "Continue with Google") and analytics.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and, if you use the product before creating an account, a cookie to remember what you worked on so it can be attached to your account when you sign up. If Google Analytics is active, Google may set its own cookies for analytics.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data as long as your account is active. To delete your account and the data associated with it, contact us. A self-service deletion option is on our roadmap.

Children's privacy

ApplyTailored is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if our practices change, and update the date at the top.
